The Hooked Up story began back in 2007, when Ross Barney decided to spice up the downtown scene with a full-service internet and gaming cafe. After securing a location just across the street from the War Memorial, Ross began filling the building with top-of-the-line PCs, the latest gaming consoles, and the fattest internet connection this side of Montreal. Today, Hooked Up stands out as the only internet and gaming cafe in St. John's, hosting regular events and getting gamers out of their houses and into multiplayer madness.
